Growing up I had sporatic access to TV at home. It was a pendulum that swung between my fathers assertion that TV was a negative influence, and our desire to have entertainment. I never fully understood his rationale when I was younger. When I think back now, I realize that it was the absence of television that resulted in a home environment that was ideal for playing with my computers instead. As I’ve matured, and experienced TV again from a new perspective (when I moved into my condo I was given 3 free months of premium TV service), I finally understand my fathers argument.
